The Website Redesign Process
01 Briefing
Like what you see on my website? Thanks I like it too! If you have a project that you'd love to finally tick off your to-do list, then please get in touch via my contact form.
02 Onboarding
We'll have a free no obligation intro call to clarify project goals, any access needs, potential constraints, or requirements. After this I'll create a project plan and send you our contract which will contain the project tasks and timings.
03 Discovery
After a buzzy business info-dumping session (exciting!), I will take away your insights and do an audit of your website that includes details on usability, accessibility and how it compares to competitors in your industry.
04 Design
Once I've downloaded everything I know about your business into my brain, I'll begin to plan out the changes needed on your website, these can be anything from small changes such as the font size to bigger changes like reworking the whole structure of a page.
After that, I'll create wireframes (mock-ups) where needed in a jazzy piece of software called Figma. Then, I'll set up a review session where we can go through the designs together - don't worry though, I'll be sending the file link to you before the call with details on how to add some comments.
05 Build
With knowledge of your business and a vision for how the website will be, I will login to your website builder and make the changes raised in the discovery and design stages.
During this time, I will be working through a content tracker to make sure that all the updates have been done. If there are any content changes needed for the redesigned website, this tracker is where they will go.
06 Launch & Support
Once I've built all the website pages, I'll send you a staging link to preview the website for you to offer any feedback before launch. If you're happy with your shiny new website, then I'll teach you how to update it and make sure it is running smoothly.
If you're worried about staying on top of updating and maintaining your website whilst running your business, then I offer a monthly retainer service to give you one less extra plate to spin.
